Bringing back the Past

While I was sitting on the couch listening to my ipod, my eyes were wandering on our bookshelf because it was just beside me, and as I saw the book I quickly grab it. That book was here in our house even when I was a kid, and I haven't even bother to touch and read it. It was a History book,of course as a kid I find it boring before , so when I opened and browsed through it yesterday , as if it was still brand new. I then realized that it was the only book in the collection that was still clean and free of our little doodles when we were young , comparing to other books that were somehow already looked ruined , some pages were torn and full of our handwritings and drawings. First, I looked at all the pictures of the book until the end before I read it. I had read the history of mankind, how people thought and lived before, and many other ancient things . The kind of writing in that book seems to talk to a child, and how embarrassed I was that I came to the realize that I should have read this book a long time ago. But still , I enjoyed remembering the things that I have learned before because of that book. I stumbled upon an article that tells on how first farming began , and I was amused that I only knew that information yesterday. As I was reading the book , my mind became curious on what kind of life people were living before , and how fascinating it was that they came to discover something. It was really a simple life. How amazed I was when I read through the articles related to Greek and Romans, because it was one of my favorites in history. How they became the advanced civilized people on earth because of just one people who ruled them, Julius Caesar . (Oh my these are only basics and I already forgot !)I also came across the article of Buddha knowing him and how his religion began even for just a short article was truly great . I admit that I’m not really that familiar about him because that was not thought fully to me at school but knowing him and what he has done was a big eye opener for me, on how he believed in simple living brings peace to our life, and how he seek to find everlasting peace. I also read about many other things and when I knew them I was glad .
I did not finish the book though, but I will soon. I still want to know many great things about the history of the earth because by knowing them also brings me back to the past and somehow live the way they live. And because of another reason that I love learning about History. Reading this book and knowing these stuff is still majestic to me because I also tend to forgot them already as I became busy in college and these things are not that talked about and taught again at my course. As they always say that the past is what makes us today and history is still continuing no matter what.
